The Nine-Headed Bug is a many-headed demon warrior in Journey to the West. He is the son-in-law of the Wansheng Dragon King and a principal defender of the stolen relic at Bibo Pool.
A Many-Headed True Form
His true form is a great bird-like creature with nine heads. Its branching necks, beaks, and wings let him strike from several directions in the same battle.
Prince Consort of Bibo Pool
His place in the Wansheng family gives him a courtly role within an aquatic demon household. He is more than a roaming beast: he fights for a family, a palace, and stolen treasure.
Weapon and Combat
In human-shaped combat he uses a crescent-bladed polearm. Against Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, he combines trained weapon fighting with the reach and mobility of his true form.
The White Dragon Horse
The White Dragon Horse enters the Bibo Pool conflict because of his own ties to the dragon family, adding a family grievance to the struggle over the stolen relic.
