The Bin-Iron Oil-Press Hammers are Liang Shitai’s signature paired weapons in the Sui–Tang heroic tradition. Their proper name and strong association with Liang Shitai make them a character-bound Object rather than generic twin hammers.
The term Oil-Press Hammers preserves the distinctive yayou name found in the weapon tradition, while Bin-Iron retains the material-name element. Together they form a recognizable weapon identity with a heavy paired-hammer silhouette.
These hammers remain separate from Li Yuanba’s Golden Drum-Urn Hammers and Pei Yuanqing’s Eight-Ribbed Plum-Blossom Silver Hammers. They also do not merge into the broader Eight Great Hammers concept.
