The Azure Bull Demon is the escaped mount of Taishang Laojun in Journey to the West. In the mortal world he becomes a demon king whose bull form and stolen Vajra Cutter allow him to challenge the pilgrims and large celestial forces.

The Azure Bull that serves Taishang Laojun and the armed demon king who occupies the cave are the same being at different moments of the story.
The Vajra Cutter
The Vajra Cutter seizes weapons and magical objects. It repeatedly strips Sun Wukong and his allies of the tools they expect to rely on.
Battle with Heaven
Sun Wukong calls on numerous celestial fighters, but the Vajra Cutter strips away their weapons and disrupts each assault.
Return to Taishang Laojun
The conflict ends when Taishang Laojun identifies his missing mount and reclaims both the Azure Bull and the Vajra Cutter.
