The Dragon-Binding Cord is Zhao Gongming’s capturing treasure in Investiture of the Gods. Cast into the air, it binds a target and abruptly ends the freedom of movement on which a duel depends.
Chapter 47 shows Zhao Gongming using it to take Huanglong Zhenren. Later, when he casts it against Xiao Sheng, the latter’s treasure-dropping coin brings the cord down. The same chapter thus demonstrates both the cord’s success and its vulnerability.
The cord is closely tied to Zhao Gongming’s formidable entrance into the war. It is a separately named treasure from Juliusun’s Binding Immortal Rope; a similar restraining function does not erase their distinct narrative identities.
