Foot Armor

Foot Armor (鞋甲) is protection added over the instep—the top of the foot. It does not mean that the entire shoe is metal. The basic arrangement is an ordinary shoe combined with a distinct protective layer.

CG Reconstruction Interpretation

The instep layer may use lamellae, hard leather, or a combined construction. It is independently secured to the shoe or foot and remains a local protection system, rather than a component suspended from the main shoulder-and-torso armor foundations.

Foot Armor works beside Shank Armor around the ankle while leaving the foot able to move. Their neighboring positions do not turn them into a single rigid object or imply that every historical example used the same fastening.

Historical Visual Evidence

The Water-and-Land painting evidence identified by the Owner includes beast-head elements at the toe or front of the shoe. Beast-head decoration or reinforcement therefore has historical visual precedent and is not treated here as an invention of modern fantasy. The image evidence supports the visible motif and placement, not a universal material thickness or an unseen mechanical design.
