Overview
Samadhi Divine Wind is the Yellow Wind Demon’s defining supernatural art in Journey to the West. It is a violent demon wind used as a direct battlefield power: the gale attacks opponents, fills the air with dust, obscures vision, and breaks the rhythm of movement and combat.
The Yellow Wind Demon’s Core Power
The power is inseparable from the Yellow Wind Demon’s identity. His rule over Yellow Wind Ridge gives the episode its setting, but the Samadhi Divine Wind gives him his decisive advantage. When released against Sun Wukong, it prevents the Monkey King from relying on speed, sight, and ordinary martial pressure. Zhu Bajie and the wider pilgrimage party are likewise drawn into a battlefield shaped by the demon’s control of the air itself.
Combat and Countermeasure
The wind does more than push an enemy backward. It transforms the surrounding space into a hostile field of sand, noise, and disorientation. Sun Wukong must seek a specific counter rather than defeat the power through force alone. Lingji Bodhisattva belongs to this story network, but no relationship is written until a formal CG identity exists.
Concept Boundary
Samadhi Divine Wind is recorded as a specific named supernatural concept tied to the Yellow Wind Demon. It is not a generic category for wind magic, and it is not Samadhi Fire. The word “Samadhi” is retained as part of the novel’s magical naming system without turning this Subject into an exposition on religious doctrine.
CG Visual Language
In CG imagery, the power should dominate the composition through rotating dust, compressed air, obscured figures, and disrupted balance. The wind is both an attack and the Yellow Wind Demon’s visual signature. No separate generic Subjects for yellow wind, wind bags, or incidental air effects are created here.
