Zhao Gongming’s Pearl Treasure
The Sea-Calming Pearls are a supernatural treasure closely associated with Zhao Gongming in the Investiture of the Gods tradition. Their basic visual idea is a pearl or group of pearls, but they are not ordinary jewelry. Within magical combat, they belong to the treasure system that allows Zhao Gongming to act as more than a conventional armed general and helps establish his supernatural martial identity.
What Is Known—and What Remains Open
Current CG material securely supports a pearl-form treasure and its association with Zhao Gongming, but it does not lock the precise number, color, size, material, arrangement, or path of movement. An image may therefore emphasize one dominant pearl or a coordinated group, provided it does not turn an unsupported count into fixed Canon. The plural English title should be read collectively and does not establish an exact number by itself.
Recognition Value
Together with Zhao Gongming’s black tiger mount, iron whip, and martial attire, the treasure emphasizes a figure who combines battlefield force with magical objects. A generic glowing sphere would be too ambiguous on its own. The image should make ownership clear through gesture, direction, and composition. Text explains the treasure’s role; a future CG illustration will define its visual system.
