Wang Shuang is a Wei warrior in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, introduced during Zhuge Liang’s northern campaigns as a large mounted fighter with several powerful weapons.
A Heavy Cavalry Warrior
The novel describes Wang Shuang as tall and broad-bodied, wearing gold armor and riding with a sixty-jin saber. He also carries a powerful bow and three meteor hammers for sudden attacks.
Saber, Bow, and Meteor Hammers
Wang Shuang carries a sixty-jin saber, draws a heavy bow, and conceals three meteor hammers. The combination gives him three ranges of attack: cavalry cutting, archery, and a sudden thrown strike.
Against the Shu Army
He defeats and wounds several Shu officers before Wei Yan kills him through an ambush. The episode places force and weapon variety against Zhuge Liang’s planning and Wei Yan’s battlefield action.
