Yu Hua is a supernatural warrior of the Shang forces in Investiture of the Gods and a defender of Sishui Pass. He combines the role of an armored military commander with dangerous magical weapons, making him one of the more threatening opponents encountered during the Zhou campaign.
Among Yu Hua’s best-known magical tools is the Soul-Slaying Banner, a weapon capable of attacking the spiritual essence of an enemy rather than relying only on ordinary physical combat. He is also associated with the Blood-Transforming Divine Saber and other weapons carrying strong supernatural qualities.
When the Zhou forces attack Sishui Pass, Yu Hua’s magical techniques create serious difficulties for their commanders. Conventional martial skill alone is not enough to counter him, forcing the Xiqi side to rely on warriors and immortals capable of answering supernatural attacks with powers of their own.
Yu Hua is eventually defeated and killed during the Investiture war and enters the ranks of the deified. In the Shang army he stands out as a fortress commander and armored fighter who relies on dangerous magical weapons.
