Dragon-Tiger Ruyi

龙虎如意

The Dragon-Tiger Ruyi is another important treasure used by Jinling Sacred Mother in the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation.

After the Four Symbols Pagoda kills Longji Princess, Hong Jin charges forward to avenge her. Jinling Sacred Mother releases the Dragon-Tiger Ruyi and kills him.

A Ruyi Used as a Weapon

A traditional ruyi often suggests ceremony, good fortune, or a scholar’s object. In the novel, however, the Dragon-Tiger Ruyi has direct striking power and can be released into the air against an enemy.

It should not be treated only as an ornamental ruyi.

Dragon and Tiger

The name creates strong visual possibilities. CG may later explore dragons and tigers confronting or winding around the head and handle.

Unless supported by the text, such details remain Visual Canon choices rather than fixed descriptions from the novel.

The Death of Hong Jin

Its most important feat is killing Hong Jin. This creates a complete battle chain linking Jinling Sacred Mother, Hong Jin, Longji Princess, the Four Symbols Pagoda, and the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation.

CG Visual Language

  • retain the basic form of a Chinese ruyi
  • suitable for holding or releasing into the air
  • restrained dragon and tiger elements
  • metal, jade, or another immortal material to be decided later

Its essential identity is a ruyi that can truly kill in battle.
