Overview

李元霸在小说、戏曲中被设定为李渊的小儿子、李世民的弟弟，也是隋唐英雄传说中的传奇少年猛将。他力大无穷，手持一对沉重的擂鼓瓮金锤，被列为“隋唐第一条好汉”，即武功天下第一。李元霸的文学形象极具特色，无论外貌、性格、言谈还是近乎超人的武力都异于常人，再加上极具辨识度的双锤形象，使他成为中国民间最深入人心的传奇猛将之一。

Li Yuanba is portrayed in novels and traditional drama as the youngest son of Li Yuan and the younger brother of Li Shimin, as well as a legendary young warrior of the Sui–Tang heroic tradition. Possessing extraordinary strength and wielding a pair of massive Leigu Wengjin hammers, he is ranked as the “First Hero of the Sui–Tang,” effectively the most formidable warrior of the age. His unusual appearance, distinctive personality and manner of speech, almost superhuman martial prowess, and instantly recognizable twin-hammer imagery have made Li Yuanba one of the most enduring legendary warriors in Chinese popular culture.
