Fleshly Sanctification is the ending granted in Investiture of the Gods to seven figures who complete the war and withdraw without passing through death into the register of deities. Their living bodies and cultivated identities remain continuous with their sacred future.
Chapter 100 explicitly names Li Jing, Jin Zha, Mu Zha, Nezha, Yang Jian, Weituo, and Lei Zhenzi as the seven who become sacred in the flesh. The statement follows their farewell to King Wu and separates their outcome from the spirits assigned offices through Jiang Ziya’s investiture.
The concept clarifies two routes to sacred status within the novel. It does not mean that the seven share one body, one visual design, or identical later worship. What they share is a narrative outcome: surviving participants depart the political world as perfected beings.
