Overview
Hundred-Eyed Golden Light is the signature supernatural attack of the Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord in Journey to the West. The power issues from the many eyes revealed across his body and turns his “hundred-eyed” identity into a direct weapon of light.
A Body Transformed into a Weapon
The technique depends on the demon lord’s unusual physical structure. When ordinary combat no longer gives him control of the fight, he exposes the clustered eyes beneath his ribs. Their combined radiance produces an overwhelming golden field rather than a single narrow beam. Body, monster identity, and supernatural attack become one system.
Battlefield Effect
The golden light restrains and injures opponents and creates a space in which Sun Wukong cannot simply close distance and strike. Zhu Bajie and the pilgrimage party belong to the same conflict, but the defining confrontation is the effort to overcome a radiance that surrounds and suppresses its target. The power should therefore be represented as an environmental attack as well as a bodily one.
Countermeasure and Relationships
Pilanpo Bodhisattva provides the decisive counter within the story. Because no formal CG identity for Pilanpo currently exists, this production run does not create or guess that relationship. The formal links remain the Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord, Sun Wukong, and Zhu Bajie.
Concept Boundary and CG Visual Language
Hundred-Eyed Golden Light is a named combat concept bound to one character. It is not a generic entry for glowing eyes, ordinary golden light, or the centipede form itself. CG imagery should show many points of light acting together, with the Daoist-shaped figure becoming the center of a radiating, enclosing field. No separate Subject is created for “hundred eyes,” “golden-light eyes,” or the centipede form.
