Jiang Wei is one of the most important military commanders of the later Shu Han period in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Originally serving Cao Wei, he later joins Zhuge Liang and becomes a major figure within the Shu military camp.
During Zhuge Liang’s northern campaigns, Jiang Wei enters Shu service. Zhuge Liang recognizes his ability, and Jiang Wei gradually develops into one of the principal military successors of the later Shu state.
After Zhuge Liang’s death, Jiang Wei continues advocating campaigns against Cao Wei and repeatedly leads armies north. He attempts to continue Zhuge Liang’s strategic goal of restoring the Han cause, although the repeated wars also place increasing strain on Shu Han.
When Wei eventually launches its final invasion, Liu Shan surrenders at Chengdu. Even after the fall of Shu, Jiang Wei attempts to exploit internal conflict among the Wei commanders in the hope of restoring the state, but the plan fails and he dies during the resulting turmoil.
Jiang Wei has a clear martial identity and a long career of campaigning. Within the current Celestial Generals system, he first functions as a Person Subject completing the network around Zhuge Liang, Liu Shan, and the later Shu military world; any future Deity classification remains a separate Owner decision.
