Jing Muan is a member of the Twenty-Eight Mansions in Journey to the West. He acts independently during the confrontation with the rhinoceros demons in the Jinping Prefecture episode.
One of the Four Wood Mansions
Jing Muan joins Kui Mulang and the other Wood-aligned mansion officials sent to assist Sun Wukong. Their arrival links celestial star offices directly to a difficult campaign on the pilgrimage road.
The Rhinoceros-Demon Campaign
The star officials descend as an organized reinforcement against the three rhinoceros demons. Jing Muan participates as an active combatant rather than remaining a name in a celestial roster.
A Wood-Mansion Officer
When Sun Wukong seeks help against the three rhinoceros demons, Heaven sends the four Wood Mansions into the Jinping campaign. Jing Muan descends with Kui Mulang and their companions, fights as part of the pursuit, and helps bring celestial force directly against the demons who have deceived the prefecture.
