The Twenty-Eight Mansions are an organized corps of celestial star officials in Journey to the West. They take part in the affairs of Heaven and appear as a group or through individual members when celestial aid is needed.
A Celestial Corps
The group belongs to the Heavenly Court’s wider network of officials and fighting support. In the novel, its members can join campaigns, subdue demons, or assist Sun Wukong, giving the corps a practical role beyond a list of star names.
Group and Individual Members
Some members receive clear actions and visual identities of their own. Kui Mulang, Kang Jinlong, Mao Ri Xingguan, and Jing Muan therefore have individual Subjects connected to this group. Members who appear only as names remain within the collective Subject until the story provides a stronger reason for separate treatment.
A Central Story Node
This group Subject provides the central node for the Twenty-Eight Mansions in the CG system. It can connect independent star officials and related episodes without creating empty pages for an entire roster.
