Rear Body Armor

Rear Body Armor is the main torso armor protecting the back. It forms the rear half of the Layer II body-armor system.

It sits behind the torso and works with Front Body Armor as a separate armor body rather than as one continuous shell.

The approved CG structure joins the two halves through two leather shoulder straps and left and right side connections. Together they form a stable torso foundation independent of the Armor Support Vest.

Rear Body Armor completes the primary torso defense and gives the attached Layer II components a clear structural context.

CG Reconstruction Interpretation

Rear Body Armor supports the rear hanging apron (Guwei). It also provides the upper origin for three binding points that connect to the rear belt and Waist Support after those two components have first been assembled as a rear waist module.

Cords, rings, straps, or equivalent systems may realize these connections. The three-point rear attachment belongs to the Owner’s reconstruction model, not a universal count asserted for every surviving historical armor arrangement.
