The Water-and-Fire Prison-Dragon Rods are Yang Lin’s signature paired weapons in the Sui–Tang heroic tradition. Their full proper name identifies a character-bound visual asset rather than a generic class of rod or staff.
Shuo Tang directly associates Yang Lin with the name Prison-Dragon Rod. Later heroic tradition and the established CG Eighteen Heroes canon preserve the expanded water-and-fire paired form. The shorter name therefore remains an identity alias of the same signature weapon.
This Subject belongs only to the Sui–Tang Yang Lin identity. It must not be transferred to the unrelated Yang Lin of Water Margin, and other staff or rod weapons remain separate canonical objects.
