The White Elephant is the original form of Lingya Xian.
Lingya Xian defends the Two Principles Formation inside the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation. After Puxian Zhenren defeats him, he returns to the body of a White Elephant and later becomes Puxian’s mount.
Lingya Xian’s Original Body
Lingya Xian fights in human form with twin swords. After his capture, he instead reveals a great white elephant.
The change from twin-sword adept to massive elephant closely parallels Qiushou Xian’s transformation into the Green-Maned Lion.
A White Divine Elephant
CG should not treat the White Elephant as an ordinary Asian elephant merely recolored white. It should possess:
- immense scale
- weight and sacred dignity
- white or pale gray skin
- long tusks
- a clear capacity to serve as a mount
- the visual presence of a traditional Buddhist divine beast
The page remains centered on Lingya Xian’s original form in Investiture of the Gods, so it should not automatically inherit every elaborate feature of later Puxian elephant imagery.
Puxian’s Mount
The White Elephant ultimately becomes the mount of Puxian Zhenren. It therefore connects naturally to Lingya Xian, the Two Principles Formation, and Puxian Zhenren.
