The Demon-Revealing Mirror is Yunzhongzi’s treasure for exposing concealed creature identities in Investiture of the Gods. Its important work is recognition: knowing what an adversary truly is makes a suitable response possible.
Chapter 91 shows Yang Jian borrowing the mirror from Yunzhongzi when the Zhou army is obstructed by the Seven Monsters of Mount Mei. It reveals Chang Hao as a white snake and Wu Long as a centipede. Yang Jian then chooses transformations appropriate to those revealed forms.
The treasure links its immortal keeper with the warrior who puts it to use. Here the mirror follows this specific Fengshen narrative; a similar name in another work does not by itself establish that it is the same physical treasure.
