Overview

闻仲是《封神演义》中地位极高、本领强大、辈分尊崇的重要人物。他在商朝官居太师，是纣王倚重的重臣和统帅；同时也是截教阵营中的重量级人物，凭借其威望，可以号召三山五岳的截教弟子前来助阵。小说中的闻仲长期率军与西岐作战，其坐骑墨麒麟、雌雄双鞭以及额生神目等特征，使他具有极高的视觉辨识度。闻仲最终战死于绝龙岭，封神后成为九天应元雷声普化天尊，统领雷部诸神。

Wen Zhong is one of the most powerful, prestigious, and senior figures in Investiture of the Gods. He serves the Shang dynasty as Grand Preceptor, a trusted minister and supreme military commander under King Zhou; at the same time, he is a major figure within the Jie Sect, whose stature allows him to summon fellow disciples from across the realm to aid the Shang cause. Wen Zhong leads repeated campaigns against Xiqi, and his black qilin mount, paired divine whips, and supernatural third eye give him an exceptionally distinctive visual identity. He ultimately dies at Juelong Ridge and is later deified as the Nine Heavens Yingyuan Thunderclap Universal Transformation Heavenly Worthy, the supreme commander of the gods of the Thunder Department.
