The Yue Family Army is the collective military identity built around Yue Fei’s command in history and heroic fiction. “Family” here signals leadership and loyalty to the commander; it does not mean that every soldier is a blood relative of the Yue household.
The Story of Yue Fei gathers sworn brothers, sons, veteran generals, and new allies under Yue Fei across many campaigns. In chapter 60, his prison statement recalls thirteen camps and a force of more than three hundred thousand while he rejects accusations of withholding troops and supplies. The scale makes his command a political issue as well as a battlefield one.
The army is valuable as a system page because it explains how separate heroes become an organized cause. Banners, camps, ranks, and shared discipline can make that system visible, while the associated figures represent important current members rather than an exhaustive muster roll.
