Jin Dasheng is one of the Seven Monsters of Mount Mei in Investiture of the Gods. A powerful ox spirit, he fights as a huge mounted warrior with heavy armor and a three-pointed blade.
A Giant Armored Warrior
The novel describes Jin Dasheng as extraordinarily tall, horned, fully armored, and dressed in gold armor with a red robe and purple-gold crown. He rides out as one of Yuan Hong’s most imposing companions.
Three-Pointed Blade and Unicorn Beast
Jin Dasheng rides a unicorn beast and carries a three-pointed blade. The combination produces a compact but powerful mounted image, with the rider’s bulk reinforced by the unusual mount and broad weapon head.
Ox Gallstone Attack
As an ox spirit, Jin Dasheng has cultivated an ox gallstone that he spits out like fire and lightning. It kills Zheng Lun and forces Erlang Shen to evade before Jin Dasheng is exposed as a water buffalo and subdued with Nüwa’s help.
