Overview

杨延嗣，人称“杨七郎”，是杨继业第七个儿子，也是《杨家将》故事中最勇猛、最具悲剧色彩的少年猛将。他性烈如火，武艺高强，敢打敢冲，在兄弟中尤以骁勇善战著称。金沙滩一战后，杨家将伤亡惨重，七郎突出重围搬取救兵，却遭潘仁美公报私仇，被乱箭射死。杨七郎年轻、刚烈、勇猛而又惨烈的命运，使他成为杨家将“一门忠烈”中极具代表性的人物，也是历代评书、戏曲和民间故事中最深入人心的杨门猛将之一。

Yang Yansi, widely known as “Yang Qilang” or the Seventh Son of the Yang Family, is a son of Yang Jiye and one of the most courageous and tragic young warriors in the legends of the Yang Family Generals. Fiery in temperament and formidable in combat, he is renowned among the Yang brothers for his fearlessness and willingness to charge into the fiercest fighting. After the disastrous battle at Golden Beach leaves the Yang family forces shattered, Qilang breaks through the enemy lines to seek reinforcements, only to fall victim to Pan Renmei’s personal vengeance and be killed by a barrage of arrows. His youth, fierce courage, uncompromising spirit, and brutal death make Yang Qilang one of the defining figures of the Yang family’s tradition of heroic loyalty and sacrifice, and one of its most enduring warriors in storytelling, opera, and popular legend.
