Chijingzi

Chijingzi is one of the Twelve Immortals of the Chan tradition in Investiture of the Gods. He resides at Yunxiao Cave on Taihua Mountain and is the master of Yin Hong. Across the narrative he takes part in rescue, instruction, and array-breaking actions that support the Western Zhou cause.

His clearest identifying treasure is the Yin-Yang Mirror. Its two aspects govern the passage between life and death, and it becomes decisive in the story of Yin Hong. Chijingzi is also connected with the Purple-Ribbon Immortal Robe, Water-and-Fire Blades, and a sword. The Taiji Diagram is borrowed for a particular episode rather than established as his personal treasure.

Chijingzi helps recover Jiang Ziya's soul and later faces the consequences of Yin Hong's betrayal of his teacher. He also participates in major confrontations including the Ten Absolute Arrays and the Zhuxian Array. These episodes present him both as a responsible master and as an active immortal combatant.

Chijingzi is the immortal of Yunxiao Cave, the teacher of Yin Hong, and the bearer of the Yin-Yang Mirror. The novel does not establish fixed facial features or robe colors for him.
