Jùliúsūn

Jùliúsūn is a Daoist immortal of the Chan teaching in Investiture of the Gods, residing at Feiyun Cave on Mount Jialong. He is the master of Tuxingsun and belongs to the wider circle of immortals associated with Yuanshi Tianzun during the campaign against Shang.

When Tuxingsun leaves the mountain without permission, he takes his master’s Immortal-Binding Rope and uses both the magical weapon and his earth-traveling technique in support of the Shang forces against Xiqi. His unusual abilities make him extremely difficult for the Xiqi commanders to contain.

Jùliúsūn eventually intervenes personally. As Tuxingsun’s master, he is able to bring the situation under control and helps redirect his disciple toward the Xiqi side. He also becomes involved in the circumstances surrounding Tuxingsun’s relationship and eventual marriage with Deng Chanyu.

Although Jùliúsūn is not primarily a battlefield warrior, his role is important through discipleship, magical authority, and the Chan immortal network. He connects Tuxingsun to the higher Daoist hierarchy and directly shapes his disciple’s transformation from an enemy specialist into a warrior of Xiqi.
