The Liangshan Five Tiger Generals are Guan Sheng, Lin Chong, Qin Ming, Huyan Zhuo, and Dong Ping, the five commanders placed at the head of Liangshan’s cavalry in Water Margin. Their title converts celebrated fighters into an organized military tier.
Chapter 71 reorganizes Liangshan after the full assembly. Beneath the two leaders and military advisers, the roster explicitly names five cavalry Tiger Generals and then lists the five men. Their placement distinguishes them from the eight cavalry vanguard commanders and the smaller mounted units below.
This is a system of rank as well as a heroic group. A five-part mounted composition can make the category visible, while each general keeps his own arms and history. The page explains how Liangshan turns fellowship into command structure after its 108 members are complete.
