Yang Xian is one of the Seven Monsters of Mount Mei in Investiture of the Gods. He is a goat spirit who joins Yuan Hong after Zhu Zizhen and rides into battle with a halberd.
Horns and Armor
The novel describes Yang Xian with a pale face, long beard, and two horns, wearing a gold crown and lamellar armor before he rides out to fight Erlang Shen.
Halberd and White Light
Yang Xian fights Erlang Shen with a halberd. When retreating, he emits white light that covers horse and rider before revealing the goat form beneath his warrior guise.
Tiger and Goat
Erlang Shen answers the goat transformation by becoming a white-foreheaded tiger. The scene depends on a clear shift from mounted weapon combat to an animal counter in which the goat form is overcome.
