The Generals of the Yang Family repeatedly places Yang Yanzhao in mounted spear combat, including his victory in chapter 13 and his dangerous return through Chenjia Valley in chapter 19. Family continuity, border warfare, and remembered loyalty allow individual actions to be read as a shared tradition.
