Overview

典韦是东汉末年曹操麾下著名猛将，以勇力过人和忠勇护主著称。《三国演义》进一步强化了他的猛将形象，将他塑造成曹营中最具威慑力的近身护卫之一。宛城之战中，典韦为掩护曹操撤退，独力抵挡敌军，最终力战而死。这场悲壮的战死使他成为三国故事中忠勇猛将的代表人物，后世常以“古之恶来”称之。

Dian Wei was a renowned warrior under Cao Cao in the late Eastern Han dynasty, celebrated for his extraordinary strength, ferocity in battle, and unwavering loyalty to his lord. Romance of the Three Kingdoms further magnifies his image as one of the most formidable personal guards in Cao Cao’s camp. During the Battle of Wancheng, Dian Wei holds off the enemy to cover Cao Cao’s escape and ultimately dies fighting against overwhelming odds. His heroic last stand made him an enduring symbol of the fiercely loyal warrior in the Three Kingdoms tradition, and he is famously likened to “E Lai of antiquity.”
