Overview

吕布，字奉先，汉末著名猛将，以无双勇武闻名天下。他善骑射，膂力过人，在群雄并起的时代先后依附丁原、董卓等势力，最终割据徐州，与曹操、刘备等诸侯争雄。《三国演义》将他的武力推至极致，以方天画戟、赤兔马和“三英战吕布”等经典情节，塑造出“人中吕布，马中赤兔”的传奇形象。后世的吕布也因此成为中国文化中“天下第一猛将”最具代表性的符号之一。

Lü Bu, courtesy name Fengxian, was a renowned warrior of the late Han dynasty, celebrated above all for his extraordinary martial prowess. An exceptional horseman and archer of tremendous physical strength, he served several powerful figures, including Ding Yuan and Dong Zhuo, before establishing his own power base in Xuzhou and contending with warlords such as Cao Cao and Liu Bei. Romance of the Three Kingdoms magnifies his prowess to legendary proportions, associating him with the Fangtian Huaji, the Red Hare horse, and the famous battle against the Three Heroes. The saying “Among men, Lü Bu; among horses, Red Hare” captures his enduring image as the archetypal peerless warrior.
