Overview

朱仝，绰号“美髯公”，是《水浒传》中的梁山好汉，原为郓城县马兵都头。他身材高大，相貌威武，又有一部长须，因此得到“美髯公”的绰号。 朱仝为人重义气，在担任官差期间曾多次暗中帮助江湖人物。晁盖等人生辰纲事发后，他参与放走晁盖；宋江遭难时，他也曾暗中给予帮助。 后来朱仝因放走雷横而获罪，被发配沧州。由于沧州知府赏识，他得到照顾，并负责陪伴知府幼子。梁山为了迫使朱仝入伙，设计使他无法继续留在官府体系之中，最终朱仝不得不上梁山。 加入梁山以后，朱仝成为马军将领，并参加后续征战。招安后，他随军完成多次战争并幸存下来。朱仝兼具官差、义士和武将身份，是梁山人物中具有鲜明忠义色彩的人物之一。

Zhu Tong, nicknamed the “Lord of the Beautiful Beard,” is a Liangshan hero in Water Margin who originally serves as a mounted constable in Yuncheng County. Tall and imposing, with a distinctive long beard, he possesses the appearance of a traditional heroic warrior. Zhu Tong is strongly associated with personal loyalty and repeatedly helps figures of the martial world while still serving within the government system. After the Birthday Gifts affair, he helps Chao Gai escape, and he also provides assistance when Song Jiang falls into danger. Zhu Tong later gets into serious trouble after allowing Lei Heng to escape and is exiled to Cangzhou. There he receives favorable treatment from the prefect and is entrusted with accompanying the official’s young son. Liangshan, however, seeks to force Zhu Tong into joining the brotherhood and creates circumstances that make it impossible for him to remain within official society. Zhu Tong eventually joins Liangshan and serves among its mounted commanders. After the imperial amnesty, he participates in the later campaigns and survives the wars. His combination of official service, personal loyalty, and martial ability gives him a distinctive place among the Liangshan heroes.
