The Immortal-Executing Sword Formation is Tongtian Jiaozhu’s four-gated formation in Investiture of the Gods. Each direction bears one of the Four Swords of Zhuxian, turning a set of treasures into a spatial system that cannot be broken through a single attack.
Chapters 77 and 78 place the Immortal-Executing, Immortal-Slaughtering, Immortal-Trapping, and Immortal-Severing swords at the east, south, west, and north gates. The text says four powerful entrants are needed. The opposing masters enter separately, and four disciples remove the swords from outside as the formation collapses.
The formation represents the conflict of teaching lineages at its largest scale. Its identity lies in four directions, four thresholds, and coordinated action. A picture may show the gates and suspended swords; the story explains why no single heroic weapon or fighter is enough.
