Tuxingsun is a specialist in supernatural earth-traveling arts in Investiture of the Gods. Small in stature but extraordinarily difficult to contain, he studies under Jùliúsūn of Feiyun Cave on Mount Jialong and possesses the ability to move rapidly beneath the ground.
He initially leaves his master without permission and takes the Immortal-Binding Rope with him. Entering the Shang camp, Tuxingsun uses his underground movement and magical rope to cause serious trouble for the forces of Xiqi. He can disappear beneath the battlefield, emerge unexpectedly, and capture opponents before conventional defenses can respond.
After Jùliúsūn intervenes, Tuxingsun eventually changes sides and joins Xiqi. He marries Deng Chanyu and thereafter participates in the campaign against Shang, using his unusual abilities for infiltration, surprise attacks, and other missions suited to his earth-traveling art.
Tuxingsun’s power does not depend on imposing appearance or overwhelming physical strength. His identity is defined instead by an ability that bypasses ordinary battlefield defenses. His earth-traveling technique, the Immortal-Binding Rope, and his marriage to Deng Chanyu together form the central elements of his story.
