Overview

武松是《水浒传》中最著名、最具传奇色彩的英雄之一，人称“行者武松”。他武艺高强、勇猛刚烈，同时又心思缜密、恩怨分明；既有令人畏惧的强悍与杀伐决断，又有极强的原则和个人尊严。从景阳冈赤手空拳打死猛虎，到斗杀西门庆、醉打蒋门神、血溅鸳鸯楼，最终披散头发、以头陀装束行走江湖，一系列故事展现了一个原本阳光磊落、近乎天神般的英雄，在命运一次次逼迫下逐渐沦落、黑化，最终成为草莽之人的过程。“行者”这一形象，恰恰映照出武松历经巨变后的落魄与疏离。即使如此，也难以掩盖他身上强烈的英雄气质，使武松成为《水浒传》中最具个人英雄主义色彩的人物之一。

Wu Song is one of the most famous and legendary heroes of Water Margin, widely known as “Wu Song the Pilgrim.” A formidable fighter, he is fierce and resolute yet also shrewd, clear-minded, and uncompromising in matters of gratitude and vengeance. His terrifying strength and decisiveness in killing are matched by an equally powerful sense of principle and personal dignity. From killing a tiger bare-handed on Jingyang Ridge to avenging his brother against Ximen Qing, defeating Jiang Menshen in a drunken fight, and carrying out the bloody vengeance at Mandarin Duck Tower, Wu Song is gradually transformed by one ordeal after another. The bright, upright, almost godlike hero of his early adventures is driven toward the margins of society, growing darker and more isolated until he finally wanders the world with loose hair and the appearance of a Buddhist pilgrim. The image of the “Pilgrim” reflects this state of displacement and alienation, yet even after everything he has endured, Wu Song retains an overwhelming heroic presence, making him one of the strongest embodiments of individual heroism in Water Margin.
